Terms of Service and Privacy Policy in plain language

This page covers the rules of using Lovery-mail and how we handle your data. We wrote it at a 7th-grade reading level, with anchor links to the parts you care about most. If anything here is unclear, contact our team and we will explain in writing.

1. Terms of use

By creating a profile on Lovery-mail you agree to these terms. You must be 18 or older, use your real identity, and use the platform for genuine connection — not commercial outreach, scraping, or research without written permission.

We grant you a personal, non-transferable license to access the site and our matching features. You keep ownership of the photos, text, and voice notes you post. By uploading content, you give us permission to display it to other members, moderate it for safety, and back it up for reliability. Nothing more.

We can suspend accounts that break these terms, and you can contact us to appeal any decision. We do our best to explain suspensions in writing within three business days.

2. Acceptable behavior on Lovery-mail

Lovery-mail is a community. Every member — including you — helps set the tone. Here is what we expect of everyone, every day.

What respectful membership looks like

  • Use your real name, photos, and identity. No impersonation.
  • Ask before screenshotting, sharing, or forwarding anyone's profile or messages.
  • Accept “no thank you” the first time. Do not send follow-up messages to a closed conversation.
  • Use language that respects the communities represented here — identity-first or person-first, as each person prefers.
  • Report problems instead of retaliating. We will listen.

3. Anti-harassment and anti-fetishization rules

These behaviors lead to immediate account suspension. We do not give warnings for any item in this list.

Zero tolerance — banned on the first report

  • Fetishizing disability, amputation, wheelchair use, or any community identity (“devotee” behavior).
  • Sexually explicit messages, images, or requests without clear, enthusiastic consent.
  • Hate speech, slurs, or harassment based on disability, race, gender, orientation, religion, or any identity.
  • Scams, phishing, solicitation, money requests, and off-platform payment pressure.
  • Sharing another member's private information, photos, or health details without permission.
  • Threats, stalking, repeated unwanted contact after a block or report.

4. Privacy policy overview

Your privacy is the backbone of a trustworthy disabled dating site. We collect only what we need, never sell your data, and never share your disability or health information with advertisers.

Here is the complete list of categories we collect when you use Lovery-mail:

  • Account data — email, password (hashed), date of birth, and location city.
  • Profile content — photos, bio, interests, identity tags you choose to share.
  • Communication — messages exchanged on the platform (encrypted at rest).
  • Device data — browser, operating system, IP address for security and fraud prevention.
  • Usage signals — matches, reports you file, and accessibility preferences you set.

We never sell this data, and we never share disability tags, health notes, or message content with advertisers, data brokers, or AI training partners.

5. How we handle your data

  • Encryption. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256). Messages are end-to-end encrypted between matched members.
  • Access controls. Only trained staff on our trust and safety team can access account data, and only to respond to reports or legal requests.
  • No data sales. We never sell, rent, or trade your profile, health, or contact data. Our revenue comes from optional premium subscriptions.
  • Vendor review. Our small number of vendors (hosting, email delivery, payment processing) are reviewed yearly and bound to our privacy standards.
  • Data minimization. We delete device logs after 90 days and inactive accounts after 24 months of no sign-in, unless you ask us to keep them.

6. Cookies and tracking

We use a small set of first-party cookies to keep you signed in, remember your accessibility preferences (like high-contrast mode or larger text), and prevent fraud. These are required for Lovery-mail to work.

We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site trackers, Facebook Pixel, TikTok Pixel, or session replay tools. We use a single privacy-friendly analytics tool that reports aggregate traffic only — no personal identifiers, no cross-device tracking.

You can clear cookies at any time through your browser settings. Doing so will sign you out and reset your accessibility preferences, but the platform will continue to work.

7. Your rights and account deletion

You have clear, enforceable rights over your data — regardless of which U.S. state you live in. You can exercise any of the rights below by writing to our team through our contact page. We respond within 30 days.

  1. Access. Request a copy of everything we store about you in a machine-readable format.
  2. Correction. Update any profile, contact, or identity detail that is inaccurate.
  3. Deletion. Permanently delete your account and associated data within 14 days. Some anonymized safety records may be retained where required by law.
  4. Portability. Export your profile, matches, and messages in JSON format to take elsewhere.
  5. Opt-out. Turn off product emails, feature notifications, or the analytics cookie at any time from your account settings.
  6. Non-retaliation. We will never downgrade, limit, or charge you for using any of the rights above.

To delete your account yourself, sign in, open Settings → Privacy → Delete account, and confirm. If you cannot access your account, contact support and we will verify your identity and handle the deletion manually.
